Helping our community
'Be Their Lead' at The Boswells School
We are so proud of the young women from The Boswells School who have been working to make Chelmsford a safer place.
The ‘Be Their Lead’ group is being celebrated by Chelmsford City Council for their assistance on an important project. Over the course of six weeks, the group assisted the Council in generating ideas on how to make the area safer for women and girls.
The Essex Police Towards Excellence Conference took place in the chambers and saw the group presenting and facilitating discussions with over 100 Essex officials before being approved by the council.
Suggested improvements included repainting the underpass into Central Park, improving visibility by lighting up trees around the park and building accessible social seating.
Marie Goldman, newly elected MP, has described how great it was to see the girls making a positive difference for their community and make it an even better place to live.
We are proud to see our pupils striving for a more inclusive community. We would also like to thank staff for their support throughout the process.
