Becoming part of our trust isn’t a guarantee to bring improvements overnight but rather, it will be a developmental journey over time.

Improving student outcomes

Being part of our successful trust enables a school to benefit from our central school improvement team who will bring objective scrutiny and ideas to improve the quality of teaching and learning in your school which, in turn, leads to improved outcomes for pupils. CLP has a track record of success with the schools within the trust, this has been achieved through strong working partnerships, school-to-school collaboration and sharing good practice.

Ethos and Culture

CLP allows our schools to retain their own unique identity which serves their community. The trust believes in ‘stronger together’ collaboration and invests in staff - through CPD at all levels, wellbeing and whole-trust initiatives.

Opportunities for staff

School leaders, teachers and support staff across our trust combine their knowledge and planning abilities to work on challenges and solutions together. The leadership of CLP and its schools have excellent combined knowledge of school leadership and know what strong schools look like. The schools themselves have a range of senior and middle leadership strengths which are used effectively for school-to-school support. CLP works with the National Leadership of Governors and encourages cross-school collaboration. This is invaluable to governors for gaining knowledge and contexts of other schools.

With combined funding, we are able to use specialist knowledge that can be bought in many different areas, spanning pedagogic, extra-curricular and operational functions.

Professional Development

This is organised across our schools enabling the delivery of high quality training. Being a part of our trust also provides staff with the opportunity to work across schools to share expertise. We know that the single greatest factor that makes the difference to the children in our schools is our staff and that is why we value our Best Companies rating as it shows our commitment to ensuring we have a happy, dedicated and valued staff.

Economies of Scale

CLP is able to purchase as a whole, thereby achieving economies of scale not achievable by schools as individuals. With ever tightening budgets, this helps our schools maintain and build upon the resources and standards to which they aspire.
